WOL – 34NS

Rheonics WOL-34NS accessory is an NPT weldolet used for installation of SR sensors in 2” ANSI pipes (OD 60.3 mm). This weldolet is designed to ensure that the Rheonics SR-sensors sensing element is fully immersed in the flow, thus providing the correct measurement conditions using this type of installation.

• This part is often used for sensors probe installation on a 2” line – ANSI standards.

• Commercially available weldolets are not well suited for the standard 3/4“ NPT version of SRV or SRD as they tend to create large dead zone around the sensing element, thus giving unreliable measurements due to potential fouling/deposit intruding onto the sensing element.

• WOL-34NS is designed with a shortened thread and height, ideal for 3/4“ NPT version of SRV and SRD.

• Plugging of the gaps in a standard off-the-shelf NPT weldolet (yellow highlighted in figure below) affects the sensing element. This affects the measurement accuracy and stability.

• Weld according to ANSI/AWS D10.4 recommendation standard for Austenitic Stainless Steel pipes.
• Suitable for SRV and SRD sensors.
• Weld only on 2”pipes ANSI standards (60.3 OD).
• Not recommended for high viscosity fluids due to possible pluging and deposits below the sensor tip.
