Japan Ex Certificate
Rheonics SRV and SRD sensors are now available with Japanese Ex certification
Rheonics inline process viscometer, SRV, and density and viscosity meter, SRD, have been certified by TÜV Rheinland with Japan Ex Certification – a certification required for electrical equipment used or installed in hazardous areas in Japan.
Rheonics sensor probes SRV and SRD are intrinsically safe and are certified according to JNIOSH-TR-46-1:2020 and JNIOSH-TR-46-6:2015. The probes are suitable for installation in zone 0/1/2 of hazardous areas. Certification is granted for all temperature classes for gas group IIC/IIB, going until 435°C (T1 class).

Japan Ex (JPEx) certification applies to the SRV and SRD sensors for their different intrinsically safe variants.
Rheonics sensors have undergone rigorous testing to ensure they can operate safely in explosive environments. Japanese Ex certification builds on the IEC Ex certification that Rheonics Ex certified products already hold.
The JPEx certification ensures that Rheonics sensors comply with specific safety standards and regulations set forth by Japanese authorities to mitigate the risk of explosions in environments where flammable gases, vapors, or dust are present. Some of the related industries are:
