Rheonics WFT accessories are Tri-Clamp ferrules with a short length used to install the Type-SR sensor probes in tanks, 2” ANSI (OD 60.3 mm), or bigger pipes without dead zones around the sensing element.

The ferrule’s short length ensures that the Rheonics Type-SR Sensors sensing element is fully immersed in the flow, thus providing the correct measurement conditions using this type of installation.

Rheonics offers the WFT accessory in two sizes of inner diameter (ID), 26 and 32 mm. The ferrule is delivered with a Clamp Seal and a Closure Clamp for the installation.

*The Rheonics WFT ID (Inner Diameter) should be chosen by the client (26 mm or 32 mm). The standard version probe (Type-SR-X3) should be used with the 32mm variant (WFT-15T-32A). The hygienic version (Type-SR-HS-X3) can be used with both variants 32 mm and 26 mm.

• This part is used for the installation of the SRV and SRD sensor probes with Tri-Clamp connection in pipes or tanks, avoiding dead zones created by long ports.
• Rheonics WFT accessories have a shortened height, ideal for Tri-Clamp version of SRV and SRD.
• Plugging of the gaps (yellow highlighted in the figure below) affects the sensing element. This affects the measurement accuracy and stability.

• Weld according to ANSI/AWS D10.4 recommendation standard for Austenitic Stainless Steel pipes.
• Suitable for SRV and SRD sensors.
• Maintain the minimum distance needed from the probe’s tip to the pipe’s wall or any other obstruction, as shown in the image, consider this prior to welding.
• Not recommended to be used in pipes with high-viscosity fluids due to possible plugging and deposits below the sensor tip.
• Check the compatibility of the fluid in the line with the elastomer materials of the seal. Rheonics offers the seal with an FKM material. If a customer needs a different elastomer material they should source it locally.
• Check the pressure rating of the application can be sustained by the clamp. Rheonics offers a standard Stainless Steel clamp. If a customer needs a different material or type of clamp for high-pressure applications they should source it locally.
